About the department: Microchip's Frequency and Time System Business Unit is looking for a Product Line Manager to lead the continued growth of the Chip-Scale Atomic Clock (CSAC) portfolio. Microchip's CSAC is the world's first chip-scale clock, providing atomic clock accuracy that requires ultra-low power and reduced size necessary for portable applications. CSAC is used worldwide in many commercial, industrial, military, and space applications.
Job summary: Microchip is seeking an entry-level Applications Engineer to join our team. As an Applications Engineer, you will support and grow the business in the US, Europe, and Asia. Position responsibilities include all aspects of applications engineering including design of system level solutions to meet customer requirements, application software development, testing integrated solutions, developing technical demonstrations of system solutions, and providing, detailed technical proposals to meet customer requirements. The Engineer will work to develop technical solutions for our Space, Defense, and Avionics Applications. These applications include crystal oscillators and atomic clocks for high-performance military and space customers. The Applications Engineer will work closely with the product management, solutions architecture, and research and development teams as well as Microchip sales teams and global channel partners to develop technical solutions to meet diverse customer needs.
