WHAT TO EXPECT
As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Siloam Springs office, as a Product Development Engineer you will be responsible for research and development of new V-belt & CVT belts to meet customer and market needs.
- You'll be working on cross-functional teams with materials & process development, test lab, operations and product line management personnel.
- This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will be developing the next generation of V & CVT belts, applying new technologies to drive market leadership in a core product line.
- You'll have opportunities to work on global projects with team members in Asia, Europe & North America.
- You will experience working in office, laboratory & manufacturing environments.
- You will be a part of the Global Innovation Team reporting to the Manager of V & CVT Belt Development.
Key responsibilities:
- Applying new and existing material technologies, designing, testing & validating new V & CVT belts.
- Leading cross-functional teams, utilizing broad knowledge of engineering principles to complete assigned development projects.
- Integrating process capability and product designs to deliver high quality products to diverse end markets.
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 5 of years R&D experience or 1-3 years R&D experience specific to Gates product lines preferred
- Bachelor's degree in engineering. Mechanical, chemical or materials science preferred.
- Strong technical, analytical and problems solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) including: Design of Experiments, FMEA, SPC and Weibull is beneficial.
- Up to 30% travel allotment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
