In the role of Communications Assistant, we'll count on you to:

Coordinate with Market Sectors, Business Classes, and Marketing to update weekly Transportation Operations Meeting (TOPS) report and present every Tuesday morning; take action items and follow up

* Ability to protect confidential information

* Schedule meetings and prepare agendas for Transportation Sr. Leadership meetings including PowerPoint presentations

* Assist with subconsultant management including SBE and DBE reporting to clients

* Assist in organizing town hall meetings for the Transportation Group

* Quick to learn and stay up to date regarding HDR's policies and procedures

* Provide a wide variety of specialized project-related administrative functions, such as meeting arrangements, organizing events, and meeting support such as preparing meeting agendas, typing and tracking meeting minutes

* Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

* InDesign skills or other presentation programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

* Experience working in both in-office and virtual environments with the ability to flex to varying communication styles

* Previous experience in the architecture, engineering or construction industry

* Communications, Public Relations, Journalism degree

* US Citizenship

* Be able to drive using their own car (gas money will be provided)

* Comfortable speaking on the phone

* Approachable

* GPA 3.0 or higher

* Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a good attitude and flexibility
