Role Summary:
Reporting to the Sales & Business Development Director, the Technical Inside Support Representative is a key member of the Relay & Power Systems team. This position is responsible for supporting the RPS sales proposal process associated with electrical utility, heavy industrial and emerging markets in the transmission and power distribution segments. The primary focus of this position is inside support as related to the RPS sales proposal process.
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Technical Inside Support Representative position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Support the RPS Proposal Manager as required to meet request for quotation due dates and deliverables
  • Participate, support, and develop bill of materials as required in support of Proposal Manager
  • Develop and maintain a directory of vendors, suppliers, and contractors
  • Responsible for CRM, opportunity management including customer contact information, activities, customer conversations, submitted proposals, follow up dates, and prior history
  • Responsible for customer, E-commerce opportunities quotation platforms
  • Order entry and customer follow up in support of RPS strategic LJ relay business opportunities
  • Participate in the development and planning sales strategy for each business segment of RPS as requested
  • Develop professional and technical knowledge of RPS products and capabilities
  • Support all aspects of the sales proposal process related to project opportunities and customer activities
  • Attend sales and company meetings, trade shows, or events as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll need:
  • Work Experience: 2 years' of inside sales support executing quotations and proposals
  • Required Education: 2 year technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: Experience working with; Excel, MS Office; technical aptitude
  • Organization Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in fast-paced, continuously evolving environment
  • Cross-functional skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally; provides excellent internal and external customer service; striving to grow and develop business opportunities
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal communications, problem solving, organizational and written/verbal communication skills

Qualifications we prefer but don't require:
  • Work Experience: Knowledge of basic electricity, power distribution, transmission, and generation
