Reporting to and in collaboration with the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll perform all duties of a Maintenance Mechanic, assist supervisor in instructing mechanics in their roles and act as liaison between mechanics and supervisor. This is a 3rd shift position.

In this exciting job, you'll...

  • Performs all duties as outlined for Maintenanc Mechanic at all levels
  • Prioritizes and assigns work orders to mechanics in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor. Oversees the work performed by the maintenance mechanics as directed by the supervisor
  • Coordinates contractor activities
  • Mentors and trains other maintenance mechanics as required
  • Maintains level of housekeeping/sanitation/food safety and safety which meets Company's standards and guidelines
  • Work in accordance with all relevant requirements including, but not limited to GMP, Food Safety, OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA and internal safety guidelines
  • Responsible for Food Safety compliance
  • Attends site training sessions, including, but not limited to hazardous waste training
  • Identify deviations and document/communicate them in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures
  • Leads lean activities
  • Excellent attendance, flexibility, enthusiasm and a positive approach to work performance

You?

  • High school diploma or equivalent required with minimum 10 years experience in industrial background (food or chemical preferred), facility maintenance and advanced mechanical experience with advanced education/certification required in at least one of the following: pipefitting, welding, or pump, PLC, electrical, robotics or equipment repair
  • Prior experience working in lead capacityOR
  • Associates degree with minimum of 8 years experience in industrial background (food or chemical preferred), facility maintenance and advanced mechanical experience with certification required in at least one of the following: pipefitting, welding, or pump, PLC, electrical, robotics or equipment repair
  • Previous Leadership experience
  • Must be certified to operate a forklift
  • SAP experience required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to perform duties at elevated heights
