Position Summary:
The Infant Hearing Tech:
Performs hearing and/or middle ear screenings to individuals under the supervision of the Audiologist.
Provide counseling and recommendations to the individual and parents of babies who fail hearing screenings.
Perform follow-up hearing screenings, as indicated.
Maintain accurate and timely records of infant hearing screenings in medical record system.
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent.
A college degree in either speech-language pathology, audiology, or a related health field preferred but not required.
Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.
Must be certified in CPR or obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
Experience:
Fluency in Spanish and/or ASL helpful but not necessary.
Experience working with infants and/or geriatrics a plus.
