The Internal Communication & Training Operations Manager is responsible for effective design, development, coordination and delivery of training and quality monitoring programs to ensure success. This includes building training for new initiatives, on-going training support, and new store opening training and coordination. In addition, this role is responsible for all internal communications, including designing effective communication tools.

*Position will follow hybrid schedule: Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday-Friday flexible remote. Travel is expected within the Fresh Thyme footprint around 15-20%.*

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Identifies and analyzes problems to determine root causes and solutions.

  • Partners cross-functionally with all departments in a way that provides timely feedback and escalates problems or issues that could prevent execution of plans.

  • Design, direct, and implement programs and strategies that monitor and analyze the training experience across all channels.

  • Reviews store training performance against operating plans and standards.

  • Provide direction from business metrics to determine training experience opportunities, trends, and recommendations.

  • Reviews and directs modifications to existing programs and plans to ensure relevance.

  • Develops accountability tools and action plans to drive measurable results in stores.

  • Develops key indicators and continuous improvement; formulating, recommending, and implementing policies as needed.

  • Directing the development of a comprehensive training strategy and associated programs and curriculum for manager and team member development.

  • Develops the means of measuring effectiveness of training through testing and evaluations to achieve results consistent with Store Operations & Support strategy.

  • Thinks timely and critically to solve problems and demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate key initiatives or actions to Fresh Thyme stores via email, oral presentations, teleconference, memos and other creative methods.

  • Design, directs and implements future training initiatives and strategies to ensure Fresh Thyme leads the market an engaging customer experience.

  • Provides direction and support to store leadership to ensure an accurate and rapid turnaround on all training-related activities.

  • Works cross functionally with support office (corporate) and field partner to execute communication plans

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • Five plus years of experience in leadership role related to retail training and communication.

  • Highly developed organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently while simultaneously demonstrating attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to facilitate cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and resolve conflict.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of change management.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written to all organizational levels.

  • Demonstrated success in solving complex issues across functions using fact-based data and analytics.

  • Strong math skills, ability to analyze metrics, statistics, data and identify trends.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong organizational agility and flexibility.
