IT Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's Office 365 environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless collaboration and productivity for our employees while maintaining robust security measures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Office 365 suite components, including Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and others, along with proficiency in integrating Vonage Voice API and managing endpoint security with Microsoft Intune and Defender ATP. Additionally, expertise in Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for Single Sign-On (SSO) and Conditional Access policies is required.

The base salary range for this role is $100K-$115K Annually
*This position is a remote position but must be within 60 miles of Lombard IL, Greenville WI, or Mansfield OH*

Summary of Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of our Microsoft 365 environment, including Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and other associated services.
  • Integrate Vonage with Office 365 and Microsoft Teams for seamless voice communication.
  • Manage on-premise Exchange Online and on-premise Email Relay services
  • Manage Email Archive Solution (Veritas)
  • Manage circuits, physical phones, and any telecommunications contracts
  • Implement and maintain advanced threat protection measures using Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) across the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Configure Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for Single Sign-On (SSO) and implement Conditional Access policies to ensure secure access to Office 365 services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and user adoption of Office 365 services.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to support teams and end-users on Office 365-related issues and best practices.
  • Monitor and optimize Office 365 performance, security, and availability.
  • Stay current with Office 365 updates, features, and best practices, implementing changes as needed to enhance productivity and security.
  • Manage endpoint devices using Microsoft Intune for configuration, compliance, and security policies.
Minimum Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of 8 years of IT experience at an enterprise level
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing Office 365 environments, including Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and related services.
  • Strong understanding of Office 365 security and compliance features and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 licensing and subscription models.
  • Experience with Vonage Voice API for integrating Vonage VBC (Voice API for Business Communication) with Office 365.
  • Experience with Office 365 migration projects, including planning, execution, and post-migration support.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for Office 365 automation and management tasks.
  • Knowledge of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) integration with Office 365 services.
  • Experience with Active Directory (AD) administration and integration with Office 365.
  • Experience with third-party Office 365 management tools and solutions.
  • Familiarity with implementing and managing Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) for Office 365.
  • Expertise in configuring Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for Single Sign-On (SSO) and implementing Conditional Access policies.
  • Proficiency in managing endpoint devices using Microsoft Intune for configuration, compliance, and security policies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications in Office 365, Microsoft Intune, Azure AD, and related technologies.
