Role Summary/Purpose:Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the DevOps Manager will be based out of Richmond, VA. The DevOps Manager will oversee the complete CI/CD process including pipeline automation, automated testing, and efficient DevOps practices. An ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure DevOps Pipelines, IAC (Terraform or ARM scripts), automated testing using C# (with Selenium or similar framework), and experience in API testing. The DevOps Manager is a team lead actively coding and designing as well as providing strategic guidance to optimize our pipelines. The right candidate will ensure the quality and reliability of our software products and provide mentorship to team members.Essential Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a team of Operations and QA staff.
  • Lead pipeline, infrastructure, and testing initiatives from inception to execution, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in troubleshooting issues with systems and conveying that to product development teams.
  • Provision and configure servers, networks, and storage resources using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
  • Integrate automated tests with Azure DevOps Pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Oversee the creation of automated test scripts using a combination of C# (with Selenium or a similar framework) for API and UI testing.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, resolving testing-related issues and challenges.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate testing status, results, and recommendations.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor testing progress, identify risks and issues, and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Design and oversee the execution of API test cases to verify functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, resolving testing-related issues and challenges.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Proven track record as a DevOps Manager, DevOps Test Lead or equivalent, with a focus on automated testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for automated UI testing.
  • In-depth knowledge of API testing tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in setting up and configuring Azure DevOps Pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
  • Experience in developing CI/CD pipeline and working with Git/Azure DevOps/Terraform.
  • Experience with C# programming language.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Agile Board).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Technical experience with query-based database tools and relational SQL databases.
  • Microsoft Azure certification is a plus.
  • Experience with HL7, C-CDA, XML a plus.
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully communicate technical information to nontechnical users.
  • Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours to support client issues, and application upgrades.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
