Senior UX/UI Designer - Performance Profile

Overview:

Intellibridge seeks a Senior UX Designer to work on the user experience design for the RMSS Program, aimed at modernizing immigration records for DHS USCIS. This important role requires an understanding of UX principles tailored to enterprise level services and products. In this capacity, you'll drive human-centered design processes, ensuring the development of ethical, intuitive, and impactful digital solutions that streamline and improve the record management systems for immigration services. Collaborating closely with public sector stakeholders, your efforts will redefine complex regulatory requirements into accessible, user-friendly systems and processes.

Your responsibilities will extend beyond designing traditional interfaces, influencing real-world user interactions within intricate policy frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and communication skills, leading research, ideation, and design initiatives. You will be responsible for developing detailed customer journey maps, user flows, and wireframes, alongside conducting usability testing and facilitating collaborative client workshops. Your expertise in applying human-centered design methodologies will align client objectives with user needs, significantly impacting the RMSS program's success and the overall user experience in immigration processes.

Key Objectives:

1. User Research and Discovery Facilitation:
   1. Conduct discovery sessions with clients and project teams to identify and define problem areas, develop strategies, and plan for user-centered solutions.
   2. Organize and conduct meetings, workshops, research sessions, and interviews with stakeholders, experts, and users, ensuring all perspectives are considered.
   3. Collaboratively work with the project team and customer stakeholders to define, test, validate, and document user requirements through continuous research efforts.
   4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams toward a strategic vision for scalable, cloud-based solutions, ensuring alignment with user needs and project goals.
2. Research Analysis and Solution Ideation:
   1. Engage in thoughtful and ethical user research, planning, and conducting activities to understand user needs and behaviors.
   2. Develop and communicate product strategies based on insights derived from user research and feedback.
   3. Analyze research findings to identify key user problems and patterns, informing the design and development of effective solutions.
   4. Conduct usability testing for prototypes and final solutions, working closely with data engineers to integrate quantitative data for informed product design decisions.
3. Design Collaboration and Conceptualization:
   1. Present and discuss early design concepts and prototypes, collecting feedback from customers, team members, and managers to ensure alignment with user needs and project objectives.
   2. Assist in defining and documenting user stories to accurately represent user goals and needs, facilitating product development aligned with these insights.
   3. Lead design collaboration sessions with customers, project teams, and stakeholders to foster a shared vision and understanding of the project's goals and requirements.
