Your Role

As Director of Finance, you will provide overall financial leadership to upstream finance function of an externally reported ~$4Bn Global division within MPT segment of Baxter. As a member of the Infusion Therapies and Technologies (ITT) global upstream leadership team, responsible for partnering across the value stream to drive organic growth, profit improvement and free cash flow conversion.

What you'll be doing
  • Partner with two Global Vice Presidents and upstream leadership team to drive global portfolio strategy, growth, and margin expansion.
  • Financial evaluation of Global new product launches and post completion reviews including the development and maintenance of NPD Business Cases
  • Finance owner of all Business Development activities related to the division; support evaluation and execution of inorganic growth opportunities, including licensing and partnership activities.
  • Work closely with Integrated supply chain on global demand planning, allocation decisions and strategic capacity investment decisions.
  • Provide leadership in delivering on quarterly financial targets, building annual operating plan/forecasts and long-range plan (LRP) aligned to divisional strategy and reflecting growth opportunities, competitive dynamics, and general marketplace changes.
  • Advise the analysis and reporting of financial documents, explaining trends, variance to budget and forecast for management reporting, with consolidation of results across multiple regions and businesses as necessary.
  • Lead the preparation of Global MRR, QRR, Financial forecast and AOP/LRP presentation material to senior ITT leadership.
  • Support and recommend capital allocations and investment decisions; ranging from Capex, headcount, R&D spend and other key allocations to ensure profitable growth of the business.
  • Lead a team of 3-4 individuals and pro-active leadership on development plans and mentorship.
  • Travel 25-30%
What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or country equivalent).
  • MBA/CPA preferred.
  • Demonstration of key finance proficiencies and qualifications and typically 10 -12 or more years of experience. Strong eye for business and judgment as well as understanding of relevant business environment.
  • Ability to effectively influence and drive consensus with diverse team members; proven ability to lead multiple, competing priorities.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, tax and legal accounting.
  • Skilled at assembling and leading both ongoing staff as well as cross-functional teams as required.
  • Decisive leadership, with ability to generate ideas, develop alternatives, rapidly decide upon the best course of action and drive implementation of that decision.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $176,000 - $264,000 USD annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive.
