We are looking for a Quantum Measurement Physicist to help codesign the readout architecture for a topological quantum computer. ResponsibilitiesMicrosoft's Quantum group is exploring ways to build a full-stack quantum computer and has become the world's center of expertise on topological quantum computing. The development effort includes a staff of theoretical and experimental teams around the world, who have been designing and optimizing all aspects of the quantum computer, from topological qubit designs, to cryogenic control and readout circuitry, to runtime software and quantum language compilers. Supporting this research and development effort requires motivated individuals to contribute new breakthroughs, ideas, and results in a fast-paced team environment. Key Responsibilities of this position include: Design and test readout circuitry for topological qubitsDesign, conduct, and analyze experiments to benchmark qubit readout and theoretical models of qubit readoutInterface with theorists and architects to codesign the readout system with evolving qubit designs Other Embody our culture and values
