Job Summary
We are seeking a Clinical Social Worker I/II (CSW I/II) (or marriage and family therapist). The ideal candidate will work well with multidisciplinary treatment teams in the hospital, outpatient, community clinic settings, and other needed community locations. They will work well with Violence Preventions Professionals and excel in strengthening collaboration between clinics and community programs with overlapping clientele. They will be actively involved and engaged in our culture of anti-racism and cultural humility.
The CSW I/II will work closely with UCSF's Wraparound project, a ZSFG program within the UCSF Department of Surgery, geared towards working with young adults to reduce the rate of violent injury due to gun violence in San Francisco, as well as other community organizations serving this same population.
Under the supervision of a senior TRC clinician, the individual will provide clinical intakes, individual and group psychotherapy, assertive outreach, crisis assessment and response, bedside support, post-surgical aftercare clinic participation, general TRC clinic support, and clinical case management services, using evidence-based practices that are effective for the service population. The CSW I/II may also provide crisis intervention and emotional support to acute sexual assault survivors in the ZSFG Emergency Dept (ED).

Please note: An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

UCSF - Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) Trauma Recovery Center (TRC) is an award-winning program that is the first of its kind in California. It is designed to help victims of violent crime overcome barriers to accessing mental health treatment, health care, and legal resources in the acute aftermath of trauma. Populations served include: recent victims of violent crime, asylum-seeking and refugee survivors of torture and gender-based persecution in their countries of origin, HIV-positive women with histories of significant trauma, and those who incur traumatic brain injury.
