JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Focusses on software and hardware system integration, cutting-edge research and development, and manufacturing work*for the US Navy.
* Will be a member of or lead a cross functional team supporting the Torpedos program.
* Analyze and design analog and digital electronic circuits including signal conditioning, power, analog-to-digital conversion, and communication.
* Integrate, test, troubleshoot, and verify electrical hardware.
* Develop test criteria and assist in the design of test systems including test software applications.
* Perform component and architecture trade studies to determine optimal system solutions.
* Design, analyze, and test underwater acoustic systems.
* Design and build prototype cable assemblies.
* Perform solder rework of prototype circuit card assemblies.
* Develop technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer.
* Generate design and interface documentation Experience with the engineering development life cycle, including concept, requirements, design, implementation and test phases

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be a US Citizen
* Bachelor"s degree in Computer Science, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
* 5+ years of job-related experience, OR
* Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
* Working knowledge of common communication interfaces such as Ethernet, RS-485, USB, CAN bus, LVDS, and protocols such as TCP and UDP
* Experience in analog and digital circuit design including signal integrity principles.
* Proficiency in all phases of PCB design, including: creation of high-level functional and architectural diagrams, SPICE analysis, power analysis, component selection, schematic entry (OrCAD Capture experience a plus), and working with the PCB layout team to optimize placement, signal integrity, fitment, etc.
* Proficient using electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed Signal circuit analysis/design.
* Habitually ahead of technology trends, with background in test, troubleshooting, and reading circuit card schematics.
* Motivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design.
* Research & Development experience including concept, design, modeling, prototyping, and testing.
Collaborative team player committed to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
* Strong documentation and communication skills.
* Experience with MATLAB programming a plus.
