We are seeking a Senior Political-Military Analyst to provide Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs (SAF/IA) Country Director Support to the (Bahrain Division). The ideal candidate will be able to multitask, be organized, possess strong business acumen, and be effective at task management with the ability to work under pressure.

Location: Washington, DC (Pentagon) with ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS in performance of foreign military sales (FMS) work.

The Senior Political-Military Analyst will provide advisory and assistance support (A&AS) to SAF/IA, Regional Affairs Directorate, Central Division (SAF/IARC), Bahrain Country Desk, to support the sale of F-16 Block 70 aircraft to, and upgrade of legacy F-16 aircraft for, the country of Bahrain. This support is required for developing future Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) and ensuring compliance with existing LOAs for regions or Partner Nation).

Responsibilities are but not limited to;

* Participate in staff meetings (classified and unclassified) with the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of State (DoS), Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), the Partner Nation Government/MoD, and the Partner Nation Embassy and Air Force, in both the US and in the Partner Nation.
* Support SAF/IA Division Chief/Deputy/Branch Chief, and Country Director at conferences, meetings, logistics/program/financial management reviews (L/P/FMR), in both the US and Partner Nation in conjunction with all currently implemented and prospective Partner Nation programs.
* Support the SAF/IA Country Director by participating in program analyses, reviews, and reliability determinations with USAF weapons systems and disclosure offices as they pertain to release of information on USAF systems capabilities to Partner Nation.
* Draft correspondence and briefings for current and prospective USAF military programs with Partner Nations, to include gathering and verifying information contained in existing databases and other SAF/IA sources.
* Draft amendments and modifications to ongoing USAF agreements with Partner Nations. Duties include taking necessary staffing actions with senior-level legal, fiscal, weapons systems, disclosure, and political-military offices to validate necessity of potential modifications.
* Safeguard information classified by the USG from inadvertent disclosure to Partner Nations and/or any other foreign Government.

Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:

* Build strong working relationships with management, support organizations, stakeholders, and peers through timely, consistent, transparent, and effective communication.
* Plan, organize, and manage complex FMS projects simultaneously while providing innovative and executable options to resolve challenging programmatic issues.
* Utilize all available program management tools, spreadsheets, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite to efficiently manage and clearly communicate FMS programmatic status.
* Remain responsive and flexible to organizational and program changes.
* Solid oral and written communication skills.

Required:

* A Master's Degree with a desired emphasis in an International Affairs curriculum.
* An Active SECRET Security Clearance.
* A minimum of five (5) years' experience with demonstrated effectiveness and success in the mission areas below:
a. USAF LOA development, execution, and/or portfolio management and/or experience as SAF/IA Country Desk Officer
b. Experience with the weapon systems or support systems in the TO
c. Knowledge of
i. FMS case programming
ii. Security Cooperation programs
iii. Building Partner Capacity programs
* US DoD staff experience in a military or civilian capacity.
* Professional Military Education through the Intermediate Developmental (O-4) level.
* Knowledge and general understanding of USAF roles and missions.
* Knowledge and general understanding of security cooperation, international affairs, security assistance, foreign military sales to include the processes, legislation, and players.
