Job Summary
B&A is looking for a Lead Engineer to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating technical projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for technology and innovation. The Lead Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet client requirements and exceed expectations.

Responsibilities
The Lead Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the technical accuracy and completeness of the products and services delivered under this contract. Specifically, the Lead Engineer:
  • Will be familiar with the systems and technical environment.
  • Provides technical direction to the engineering team
  • With the Program Manager will interview, select, train, and supervise all technical personnel on the contract.
  • Understands, analyzes, and manages complex customer requirements, then translates them to engineering team.
  • Undertakes engineering projects and plans them as per the schedule and requirements.
  • Identifies engineering best practices and standards for engineering team
Education and Experience
  • At least 10 years of experience with IT engineering and support with a focus in cybersecurity or cloud computing.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills
  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and frameworks, with hands-on experience in designing and developing scalable, high-performance systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript, and experience with related technologies and frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions that meet client requirements and exceed expectations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and other software development tools and practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Commitment to quality, excellence, and continuous improvement, with a passion for learning and staying updated with the latest technologies and best practices.
Desired Skills
  • Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, including infrastructure as code, automation, and containerization.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Previous experience in [specific industry or domain].
  • Certifications in relevant technologies or frameworks (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, etc.).
Security Clearance
  • Must have an active Top-Secret clearance.
