How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:

This position has the ability to work a combination of in office and remotely.

The marketing and communications specialist will support a large, progressive team responsible for marketing Carilion's services to the community and communicating with our workforce and should be detail oriented and self-motivated. The specialist will:

  • * Support the needs of the department, interact with vendors and leaders on projects while working under minimal supervision.
  • * Assist with or own specific bodies of work requiring project management, web content entry, data gathering and manipulation, vendor management, research, writing and creative brainstorming.
  • * Help implement communication plans and marketing campaigns and develop tactics.
  • * Assist in the physician onboarding process.
What We Require:


Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: Three years of related experience required. Experience within specialized area strongly preferred. Completion of a Master's degree in a related field with demonstrated relevant experience may substitute for experience requirement.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Must possess excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. Demonstrated analytical thinking and interpersonal skills. Must work well in a team environment and have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to work on multiple tasks/projects while meeting deadlines and being flexible in an environment of changing priorities.
