The role of the 340B Program & Purchasing Pharmacist involves overseeing and administering the 340B drug pricing program within the Johns Hopkins Health System. This includes ensuring adherence to program regulations, staying informed about regulatory updates, and maintaining comprehensive records for potential inspections by governmental bodies or manufacturers. The position also entails calculating program savings and reporting them to the JHH finance department on a monthly basis, with a focus on increasing program participation to maximize savings. Additionally, the Pharmacist collaborates with the Assistant Director of Purchasing and Contracting to streamline the procurement of pharmaceuticals, aiming for efficiency and cost-effectiveness while minimizing losses. Furthermore, the role supports the Formulary Group by providing pricing information and conducting analyses of various drug product groups.
