Operations Support Specialist

As an Operations Support Specialist, you will be responsible for the daily routing and monitoring of our Fiber Technicians as they are dispatched in install activities in the field. This position is taking in-bound calls from our internal teams to schedule install services as well as making out-bound calls to our customers to update them on the status of their installs and any delays that might have been encountered.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitor and make adjustments to technician routes as needed.
  • Perform daily routing of resources within a region.
  • Monitors ETA/TOA compliance for field operations workforce.
  • Assist technicians with issues that may arise during an activity.
  • Communicates with supervisors and managers about operations and/or dispatch issues.
  • Receive inbound calls from technicians and customers.
  • Uses software tools to manage a variety of tasks to support field operations - ETA/TOA, Footprints, Q-manager, Microsoft Office applications, etc.
  • Place outbound telephone calls to customers as necessary to confirm date/time for service call visits or to gather additional information related to service problems.
  • Special projects as assigned by the department supervisor.
  • Other related instructions/duties as defined by the associate's supervisor; subject to all applicable state and federal laws.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in computer based order entry systems
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel
  • Telecommunications and/or video experience a plus
  • Strong planning, organizational, and follow up skills.
  • Excellent people and process management skills.
  • Good analytical and communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with multiple department staffs.
  • Ability to recognize priority issues and escalate accordingly.
  • Ability to learn new processes and procedures.
  • A drive to win as a part of a team.
