Hexagon's Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking an Engineering Manager for our North Kingstown, RI location.

Description:

The Engineering Manager is responsible for the development, testing and management of new and existing products, services and technologies as well as the development and upgrade of aftermarket products. The group strives to continuously improve our processes, cost, performance and reliability of our products and to bring innovation to the Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Division. They will oversee the group responsible for Engineering Documentation, Documentation control, Change Control, ERP Data (as it pertains to Engineering) and Development Engineering Support. The Engineering Services Manager will also be responsible for process development of systems. This is a hands-on roll and will also occasionally be required to be an individual contributor in the roll of drafting/engineering support

Job Responsibilities
  • Hands on leadership of the Engineering Services Group as well as an individual contributor when needed.
  • Responsible for the release and change processes of both hardware and software products.
  • Responsible for documentation control for all engineering related documents and design files.
  • Responsible for BOM creation and revision
  • Provides support to design engineering in the form of simple design services as well as drafting support.
  • TeamCenter management and compliance. As the owner of the Engineering Documentation, management and compliance with TeamCenter is necessary.
  • ERP LX Process development as it pertains to engineering
  • Develop and oversee a small group in support of product development efforts.This group will be responsible for simple CAD drawings, Electrical documentation and process control. Special Systems or Custom Systems development are examples of where this group will contribute significantly.
  • Definition and Project management for systems that will help to achieve the above goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years in Engineering
  • 4+ Years leading a team / teams
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of PLM and ERP systems, TeamCenter experience a plus.
  • Strong Process Development Skills
  • Strong Documentation Control Skills.
  • Knowledge of Interdisciplinary Teams and their interactions
  • Ability to recognize issues in the current processes and work to improve them.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management in a Global organization.
  • Strong Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player: supports teammates and colleagues.Teamwork is paramount.The person in this position will need to be able to deal with many different personalities and requests from various areas of the department and organization.
