Customer Setup Specialists are responsible for maintaining the integrity of all customer and terminal data within the Customer Service Department. You will be responsible for ensuring customers are set up correctly and efficiently, and that data flows accurately and successfully through our systems from purchase to billing, utilizing computers and communication technology & equipment. The ability to exercise sound judgment in decision making and employ effective time management skills are essential to communicating and interacting effectively with customers, co-workers and management across geographically dispersed sites and department boundaries. Promoting positive customer and employee relations by delivering results under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will act as a primary customer setup communication liaison, requesting additional documentation or following up with internal contacts to ensure customers are set up correctly and efficiently. You will maintain customer account data, record and track customer inquiries within the appropriate system(s) and maintain customer management as well as terminal automation software systems to support their proper daily operation. This role will also provide on-call phone support coverage and backup as required. If you have great customer service skills, are a team player, and are results driven, this is the role for you!

  • Directly or indirectly reconcile basic issues or problems and answer inquiries about customer data and terminal systems, conduct research on cause, and coordinate with other internal departments to solve.
  • Participate in ongoing Customer Service training to ensure adequate systems expertise, expedient training of new personnel, and improvement of general skills.
  • Produce and maintain process documentation and support projects as needed
  • Conduct all interactions in a professionally positive tone.
  • Participate in projects as required.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualified candidates for this role will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 1-3 years office experience in an energy industry environment.
  • Effective time management, communication skills, and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually using available resources
  • Ability to work well with others, organize workload, perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with customer-centric databases preferred

This is a hybrid opportunity based in Portsmouth, NH.
