Job Summary

The Administrative Clerk will predominantly be responsible for helping to convert hard copy files and records maintained in the Graduate Medical Education Department at BCH Oakland to electronic records. The incumbent will be scanning documents and creating digital file directories of the materials for efficient retrieval. Other related and relevant tasks may be assigned as necessary.

Department Description

The School of Medicine Dean's Office at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland helps to develop a closer and more collaborative relationship between the faculty and staff on both sides of the Bay. Our office serves as a resource for the School of Medicine faculty in Oakland and cross-bay departments. We provide advice, guidance, and service to champion academic, clinical, and research endeavors.

Required Qualifications

  • High school graduation/GED; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrates excellent judgment and willingness to ask clarifying questions to achieve job expectations
  • Works efficiently and quickly
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience using standard administrative software programs and personal computers
