Azure Cloud Architect

Job Description Summary

As an Azure Cloud Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions that leverage Microsoft Azure and VMware technologies. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring efficient, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure for our global organization.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Solution Design and Deployment:

  • Design and deploy Azure Cloud VMware Standard Private Cloud solutions.
  • Create architecture blueprints, considering virtual machines, Azure databases, storage technologies (Storage Accounts, SQL Server, CosmosDB), and virtual networks.
  • Implement Azure Site Recovery, Traffic Manager, Azure Automation, and ARM Templates.
  • Configure Azure Load Balancer, API Gateway, and Azure AD.
  • Configure KeyVaults, Web Apps, Function Apps, Logic Apps
  • Familiar with ITIL processes - ServiceNow

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

  • Define and enforce policies using Azure Policy and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
  • Monitor and manage costs, alerts, and performance.
  • Implement disaster recovery strategies.

On-Premises Infrastructure:

  • Work with Active Directory, DNS, VMWare, Hyper-V, firewalls, and routing.
  • Integrate identity and user management solutions provided by Azure or third-party tools.
  • Working knowledge of NSX-T
  • Working knowledge of VMware Aria Operations
  • Working knowledge of VMware Aria Automation
  • Working knowledge of VMware Aria Operations for Network.

Automation and Scripting:

  • Utilize Azure DevOps, and GitHub.
  • Write automation scripts using PowerShell and other configuration-as-code tools.
  • Familiarity with JSON templates, Terraform, and Ansible.

Monitoring and Security:

  • Configure monitoring tools for Azure and third-party services.
  • Implement security best practices.
  • Experience with SIEM (Security Incident and Event Management) tools.

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

  • Microsoft Azure certifications
  • Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop
  • Microsoft Security Operations Analyst
  • Windows 365.
  • Azure VMware Solution
  • Cloud Migrations using HCX
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or Bicep.
  • Knowledge of Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lakes.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Partner Funding programs (ECIF, AMPP, PIE, etc.).
  • Exposure to AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Architect or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing, virtualization, and infrastructure management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $114,750.00 - $135,000.00
