The Clinical Director, PFK plans, implements, and evaluates the administrative, operational, supervisory and care coordination activities for the assigned area of responsibility. The care coordination director leads a multi-disciplinary team in strategic directives and care activities to ensure best outcomes for patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities
    Leads managers in strategic directives and activities to ensure achievement of best outcomes for patient and families.
  • Leads multi and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based clinical programs, policies, and standards.
  • Promotes teamwork by building a team environment and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Develops and implements continuous performance improvement initiatives focused on improving the management and experience for patients, families, and staff.
  • Maintains safety and quality as priorities, providing direction, prioritization, accountability, enthusiasm and support for safety and quality initiatives.
  • In collaboration with the VP, develops expense, operational and capital budgets.
  • Recruits, trains, evaluate, develops, disciplines and/or terminates subordinate staff. Assures that performance standards for all staff are met.
  • Coordinates staff representation on departmental, hospital and community task forces, committees, quality teams and advisory groups. Serves as a representative to such groups when appropriate.
  • Develops policy and program descriptions to guide operational execution.
  • Participates in departmental and hospital projects that include new Epic implementations or new technology initiatives to design, build and evaluate ongoing needs.
Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • Masters degree in related field required (MSN, MSW, MBA, or MHA)

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Competency in area of clinical practice, care coordination and leadership
  • 5 or more years leadership experience required

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bend/twisting; squat kneel; climb stairs/ladder; reaching above shoulder; hand use: grasping, gripping, turning; lifting up to 20 lbs; lifting up to 40 lbs; exposure to communicable diseases and/or pathogens; exposure to chemicals/medications; exposure to fumes/gases/vapors; exposure to biohazard waste; loud noises OCCASIONALLY - 1-33% of the time.
  • Standing/walking; sitting; flexing/extending of neck - FREQUENTLY - 34-66% of the time.
  • Repetitive hand/arm use; computer skills; audible speech; hearing acuity; depth perception; color vision; seeing far/near; peripheral vision; problem solving; decision making; interpreting data - CONTINUOUSLY - 67-100% of the time.
