Job Summary
B&A is looking for a Technical Scrum Master to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. As a Technical Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the Agile development process, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality technical solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, product owners, and stakeholders, to drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of the project using Agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • Manage development pipeline, grooming sessions, and implementation priorities.
  • Manage customer relationship.
  • Work with stakeholders to define and prioritize project goals and deliverables.
  • Coordinate and lead the activities of the development team, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including the development team, project managers, business users, and senior management.
  • Ensure that the team is following Agile development best practices and principles.
  • Coach and mentor team members in Agile development methodologies.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure that project artifacts are up to date.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager.
  • This is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days on-site in Washington DC.
Required Skills
  • Development background (e.g. Java) and hands-on experience with tools like Angular and Microservices.
  • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum, and the ability to apply Agile principles to project management.
  • Experience leading software development projects in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor a development team.
Desired Skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Scrum Master certification (e.g. CSM, PSM) preferred.
Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
