Overview

The Facility Project Management Consultant will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise for facility management to include capital and real property for a federal client. The Facility Project Management Consultant will provide project management expertise with planning, design and construction, developing and reviewing architectural, interior design and engineering plans, specifications and cost estimates.

Responsibilities

Working independently, and as a team member, you will be responsible for a wide range of activities in support of our federal client. These responsibilities include:

    Utilize subject matter expertise to propose and deliver solutions to facility requirements for Federal projects to include both new construction and maintenance and repair of existing real property.
  • Coordinate with and manage intended facility users, incorporating user input into facility programs and planning, ensuring adherence to technical and professional facility standards, and adjudicating conflicting ideas and opinions.
  • Assist with all aspects of facility development, including planning, programming, design and construction phases.
  • Prepare, review and maintain project documentation and reports, including program strategic plans, project management plans, budgets and funding justifications, execution schedules, and program briefings.
  • Identify program risk, provide risk mitigation strategies, and implement overall risk management at the program and project levels.
  • Provide input on appropriate standards, and guidelines, as well as interpretation of and compliance with building codes and regulations.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of relevant facilities experience and a Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, science, or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Certified Construction Manager (CCM), LEED-AP or other industry-related certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to read and review\construction documents, including drawings, specifications and RFPs
  • Track record of successfully working in the realm of real property development including site analysis, space programming, design oversight, and construction procurement and administration.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively solve problems.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
