Job Description

Position Summary

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing technical controls and configuration settings. Activities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Helping develop and review Risk Management Framework (RMF) Bodies of Evidence (BoE) to include System Security Plans (SSP).
  • Identify and document applicable NIST 800-53 technical controls, Boundary Diagrams, and all other supporting artifacts.
  • Helping develop detailed and thorough site survey report documentation.
  • Assisting in configuration of Windows Operating Systems, Applications, and Cisco IOS (and other networking and IoT) devices to comply with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and other guidelines
  • Applying operating system patches, service packs, hotfixes, and software/ firmware updates.
  • Supporting automated system software update methodologies and technologies
  • Performing system vulnerability scans including Nessus / ACAS, and SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC)
  • Work with engineering teams to identify best practices for designing systems that meet DoD security requirements; evaluate security products including redundance / disaster recovery, system backups, TACACS/RADIUS, NTP timing services, HBSS / Antivirus, UAM, etc.
  • Develop and use PowerShell scripts for automating system configurations.

Position / Candidate Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen with adjudicated U.S. Secret Clearance.
  • Education: Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity
  • HS Diploma with 12+ Years of the following Experience or
    Associate's Degree with 10-12 Years of the following Experience or
    Bachelor's Degree with 7-9 Years of the following Experience or
    Master's Degree with 5-7 Years of the following Experience
  • Certifications (one or more of the following): CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE or SSCP
  • Effective collaborative skills with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and General Office Applications Skills.

  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
  • Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
