Senior Manager III, Cloud & Data Center

Description

Plans, manages, and coordinates the complex information technology cloud and data center program activities and personnel requiring multi-disciplinary collaboration and broad program scope; oversees activities associated with on-premise data center operations and cloud infrastructure; manages infrastructure and cloud migration engagements, including cloud migration strategies, migration planning, sourcing options, business case, and implementation coordination; leads in the design, implementation, and migration activities of new IT infrastructure and cloud infrastructure environments; exercises leadership to design, create, implement, assess, and revise programs or activities of the section.

Qualifications

Required

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Six (6) years of progressively more responsible experience in managing on-premise data center operations, cloud infrastructure, and/or cloud migration engagements, some of which shall have been in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience
  • Knowledge of theories, procedures, practices, materials, and methods related to cloud-based infrastructure, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions, operation systems maintenance and support, and data center infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of school organization, mission, and the requirements for assigned function to accomplish mission.
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), G Suite for Education, Microsoft 365, and data center and virtualization technologies.
  • Knowledge of DevOps in modern cloud environments and DevOps tools for source control, configuration management, automation, containerization, and orchestration.
  • Knowledge of related laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Skilled in personnel, financial, and administrative management.
  • Ability to manage, evaluate and supervise program activities and personnel.
  • Ability to effectively lead teams in multiple projects.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and/or present information to groups.
  • Proficiency in the use of technology and data compilation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Salary Range

$113,459 - $172,601
