IDEXX is seeking a motivated and analytical Senior Tax Manager with experience in international tax to join the global tax team. The ideal candidate would have extensive experience with international tax issues impacting multinational companies and a thorough understanding of U.S. tax laws impacting international activities. This position will report into the Vice President, Tax and work with team members within the department, finance teams, lines of businesses, and outside consultants.

Primary location: open to a hybrid schedule or relocation assistance to Maine.

This position will assist in the design and implementation of tax planning projects by providing quantitative analysis, modelling the impact from anticipated projects, transactions, and proposed U.S. and international tax legislation. The role will monitor, analyze, and implement OECD initiatives including Pillar One and Pillar Two. This position will also manage the U.S. compliance obligations for international operations. The position will also manage the Transfer Pricing manager and external partners.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • You will recognize tax issues, planning opportunities, and implications of new tax laws.
  • You will research, analyze and implement tax law changes occurring within and without the United States and the effect that any such change has on other jurisdictions.
  • You will support quarterly and annual tax provision processes.
  • You will develop analytical tax models to support effective tax rate analysis and planning.
  • You will coordinate with global business leaders to optimize our business strategies with tax rules.
  • You will assist/coordinate/lead various domestic and international tax planning initiatives.
  • You will provide planning & analysis tax support for Business Development (M&A).
  • You will manage the completion of the international tax compliance portion of the U.S. consolidated federal tax return, including forms 5471s, 8858s, 8991, 8992, 8993 and 1118.
  • You will prepare/Review international calculations including E&P calculations, PTEP, GILTI, FDII, Subpart F, and FTC.
  • You will support global transfer price processes, ensure alignment with business operations, and compliance with tax regulations.

  • Excellent analytical ability
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to build and foster relationships
  • Ability to direct and manage a team
  • Ability to communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals
  • Ability to conduct tax research and draft technical memoranda
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with data analysis tools such as Alteryx or Power BI
  • Knowledge of SAP and OneSource tax provision is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Certified Public Account (CPA) or JD preferred
