Responsibilities
    Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assess communication needs and develop customized solutions to meet specific requirements
  • Continuously evaluate the performance and effectiveness of communication systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements to optimize scope, efficiency, reliability, and security
  • Implement and maintain security protocols and measures to safeguard communication systems and data from cyber threats and unauthorized access, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing communication technologies, such as General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), and Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess communication and technology needs for various projects and initiatives and provide expertise and guidance on the selection, implementation, and integration of communication and IT solutions to support project objectives
  • Manage and maintain the information systems, dashboards, and document repositories (Microsoft SharePoint, Jira, GitHub, etc.) that are used to store data and documents on and consult with clients to determine the role of IT systems in the organization
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication efforts using metrics and analytical tools. Track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as website traffic, to measure the impact of communication initiatives and identify areas for improvement
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting communication platforms, such as
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Exchange Enterprise Functionality applications
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to apply individual concepts to larger overarching goals, which reflect the department's role within the organization
  • Ability to understand, edit, proof, and review the technical and non-technical oriented documents to ensure consistency with grammar, formatting, style, logic, and compliance with VA standards
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor during high-stress interactions
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate) are a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or related scientific /technical discipline
  • Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (8 years total)

Clearance:

  • The ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation

Location:

  • Remote, USA
  • Monday - Friday (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM CST)

Pay Range:

  • The pay for this position ranges from $32,730 to $51,500
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
