Responsibilities

As the Deputy Program Manager, Intelligence Community, you will have daily spoken and written communication with Customers, Investigative personnel, support staff, and senior management.

Hybrid work: Applicant will need to reside within routine travel distance to Reston, Virginia. Travel to Reston, VA to support customer and program operations will be required as necessary.

Responsibilities will include:

    Planning, scheduling, and coordination of program management activities and administrative deliverables
  • Understand customer requirements to ensure cases are delivered on time with high quality
  • Act as the point of contact with the Government when Program Manager is unavailable
  • Answering customer inquiries and effectively handling customer concerns
  • Provide coaching and assistance to all staff supporting the program
  • Process weekly and monthly performance reports, or as necessary, to the Program Manager
  • Provide monthly and quarterly statistics, or as necessary, to ensure acceptable performance is maintained for all staff supporting the program
  • Participate in program meetings and be prepared to address or disseminate anything of need concerning customer policies, procedures, and/or clarifications
  • Interact with all levels of Program Leadership, Field and Review Teams, Case Managers, Workforce Development, Training and Quality Assurance to ensure timeliness and thoroughness of investigations.
  • Responsible for assisting in improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the program
  • Address any integrity, compliance or security concerns that may arise by working with the appropriate department and other key personnel members
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S Citizenship
  • Current Top-Secret security clearance with TS/SCI eligibility with full scope polygraph at customer request
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • 2+ years of background investigative experience at the federal level
  • 2+ years of leadership experience that demonstrates the ability to direct, execute, and control the performance of team members with detailed knowledge of Background Investigation programs
  • 2+ years of program management experience (government or industry) is required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, identifying and removing obstacles, and process execution
  • Remain flexible and receptive to policy changes, departmental changes and adjust accordingly
  • Excellent time management and administrative skills with the ability to prioritize and/or reprioritize daily tasks based on the needs of the program
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with short turnaround times
  • Self-starter with proven leadership ability, as well as demonstrated success working with limited supervision while coordinating activities with security, field operations, inspections, quality assurance, contracts, and other program execution functions
  • Certification in Project Management from Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent certification

Target Salary Range
$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
