We're seeking a future team member in the role of Senior Vice President, Technology Product Manager to join our Financial Product team. This role is located in either Jersey City, NJ. or Lake Mary Florida.

This will be a hybrid position (3 days in the office)

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

The Product Management team at Pershing defines product vision and strategy based on customer needs and competitive landscape.

The team is responsible for products throughout their life cycle and works closely with technology groups to continuously improve the products and solutions.

Product Managers conceptualize new solutions and enhancements to products, define the Product Strategy & Roadmap, and promote the adoption of our solutions across the wide range of Pershing customers globally, including broker dealers, advisors, and investors.

Product Managers work with a variety of teams for the execution of the Product Strategy & Roadmap and the subsequent Launch & Rollout including - Technology, User Experience, Marketing, Project Management and Business Analysts among others.

Product Managers serve as the voice of the customer internally; they articulate the product positioning, benefits, target customers, and promote the products both internally and externally.

In addition, Product Managers are also involved in client engagements, strategic product meetings with clients, product demonstrations and sales initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

In this role you will:

  • Lead product management and strategy for Pershing's Employer Plan Platform that includes: 401(k), 403(b)(7), and 457(b) retirement plans.
  • Define business requirements and drive the product roadmap while executing on multiple concurrent priorities and deliverables.
  • Understand regulations and rules that impact employer plans and navigate technical discussions with legal, operations and technology partners to implement required updates and enhancements.
  • Innovate the platform: develop capabilities and differentiation to drive commercial appeal, competitive positioning, and product adoption.
  • Create business cases for new offers that include addressable opportunity, revenue projections and go-to-market strategies.
  • Serve as an employer-plan SME for advisor inquiries and business development activities.
  • Establish relationships with internal stakeholders across sales, relationship management, operations to deliver product excellence.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create impactful collateral for use with clients and prospects.
  • Participate in business development activities, position product and lead demos.
  • Manage relationships with partners and third-party vendors.

You have:

  • A good mix of business acumen and technology product management experience.
  • Technical understanding of employer plans across all plan types with an emphasis on non-ERISA 403(b) and governmental 457(b) plans.
  • Ability to write business requirements that support regulatory updates, new plan provisions, and technology integrations.
  • Understanding of retirement stakeholders across the ecosystem, i.e., TPAs, plan sponsors, recordkeepers, advisors, fund managers, their roles and how they interact.
  • Understanding of end-to-end retirement experience in the advisor-sold market.
  • Experience successfully leading complex projects to positive outcomes.
  • Strong client engagement skills, ability to influence, set expectations and build trusting relationships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in product management in the financial services industry.
  • Experience with 403(b) not-for-profits, 457(b) government plans, non-qualified plans.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Must have experience consulting with financial advisors and prospective firms looking to assess a range of retirement solutions.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills are required.
  • Experience managing business-to-business technology integrations.
  • Ability to understand and action client feedback and needs; draw insight, find innovative solutions, and articulate vision to stakeholders.

Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred. 10-12 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in Product Management, operations, client management preferred. MBA or CFA preferred. Product Leadership Certification preferred. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $100,000.00 and $221,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and company- sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors."
