POSITION SUMMARY:

Theroleof theMaintenance Planneris to improve work force productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access. The successful candidate must actively participate and comply with our Health and Environmental program including training initiatives and following all policies and procedures. The Maintenance Planner works in a team environment and is required to assist others as necessary but must have demonstrated skills as a collaborator.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop PM programs for machines, lines, processes and maintain.
  • Work with production planning group to organize packaging line maintenance days (scheduled maintenance downtime) and maintenance projects.
  • Conduct meetings with production and planning to further improve OEE and schedule attainment.
  • Create and maintain maintenance parts inventory.
  • Kit all PM's (ensure that parts are collected ready for Major line maintenance day shutdowns)
  • Assist in the management of open work orders for timely completion.
  • Perform failure mode analysis when machine failure occurs.
  • Run crew meetings when Supervisor is not available.
  • Deal with supplier issues including complaints.
  • Develop and track KPI's.
  • Run reports in CMMS.
  • Review and track data in CMMS including monitoring for data integrity.
  • Create SOP's (standard operating procedures)
  • Utilize predictive/optimize maintenance tools such as thermal scans.
  • Assist with contractor management and training of first time contractors.
  • Employ safe work habits and comply with all applicable Sealed Air safety requirements.
  • Answers questions and provides information related to projects including resolving problems, approving expenditures, handling complaints and providing technical expertise.
  • Provides input into the development of the operating budget.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma
  • Minimum Experience required:
    • At least 2 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
    • Knowledge of chemicals and chemical handling procedures and blending equipment
    • Must have the ability to manage others in technical matters as well as mentor, motivate, guide, and teach others.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand for periods of up to 4 hours at a time.
    • Ability to perform repetitive bending and stretching on a daily basis.
    • Employee must use and maintain their PPE, and follow Area specific PPE policies and rules.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Continued education in Science or Technical Field preferred. Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
  • Strong understanding of equipment specifications, piping and electrical installation and construction.
  • Experience in participating on a Joint Health and Safety Committee would be an asset.
  • Must have strong problem solving abilities.
  • Must be able to rely on others for successful completion of objectives.
  • Intermediate computer applications knowledge.
  • Self-starter with strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong technical writing experience.

This role will report into the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor
