Summary

  • *** Remote option after onsite training is completed ***

  • Position Summary
    • The patient service representative (PSR) will greet patients in a friendly and courteous manner, answer telephones, schedule appointments, and perform other overall general Access call center duties as assigned. The PSR will also collect, verify, enter, and monitor patient data while complying with the federal, state and MaineHealth confidentiality policies.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: Previous medical office and customer service experience.
    • Knowledge of customer service principles and techniques.
    • Excellent professional judgment and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
    • Ability to communicate calmly and clearly over the phone.
    • Skill in using computer programs and applications to include Epic and Groupcast.
    • Skill in conflict resolution.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
    • Ability to maintain a professional manner even under stressful situations.
