Railroad & Transit Team
As a structural engineer at Burns, you will be part of a team that ha left an indelible mark on transportation infrastructure. This includes tasks such as evaluating the integrity of existing structures and their ability to adapt to the changing demands of public transit, designing new buildings, and developing innovative solutions to enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability. Burns is currently seeking a Structural Engineering Associate to join our Railroad & Transit team in Philadelphia, Pa.
Position Summary:
The Structural Engineering Associate is a position for an engineer who has obtained their EIT. The selected candidate will make independent decisions on structural engineering challenges, with oversight from senior staff. He or she continues to develop technical expertise in structural engineering and begins to specialize in niche technical areas. He or she must dispense knowledge to staff through mentoring or internal presentations. The Structural Engineering Associate will spend the majority of their time using their technical expertise to produce projects on time, in budget, and with high technical quality and client satisfaction.
