Job Description
Summary: Responsible for processing and verifying work prepared by other bank team members, ensuring accuracy and assisting in correction of errors. Ensure that all entries are properly categorized. Input data into computer system.

Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Process work prepared by other employees. Ensure accuracy, assist in correcting errors and maintain appropriate documentation as required.
  • Verify signatures on required client checks.
  • Input data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness on all types of Deposit accounts including Certificate of Deposits, IRA's and Safe Deposit Boxes. Make appropriate entries as needed.
  • Prepare a variety of debit and credit tickets to accomplish necessary corrections or adjustments. Prepare and input approved charges to files as required.
  • Assist with posting entries for new and redeemed CDs as required. Make corrections as needed.
  • Assist customers with bookkeeping questions as required.
  • Verify signature cards and confirm receipt of required documentation for all Deposit account types.
  • Input and check back all Deposit account types along with Safe Deposit Boxes and verify the receipt of requirement documentation.
  • Perform customer research as needed (e.g., bank statements, check research).
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes. Work with team members and manager to maintain a current working knowledge of the functions within each department.

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to problem solve, prioritize tasks and meet required deadlines.
  • Ability to think critically and use good, sound judgment in decision making.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, co-workers or vendors.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and communicate effectively and tactfully, orally and in writing with employees, customers, vendors and management.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, helpful and courteous attitude when working with customers or co-workers under diverse conditions.
  • Ability to accurately and quickly complete standard mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to interpret various ratios and relationships inherent in common or specialized financial reports.
  • Ability to use a calculator, computer and applicable software programs.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Outlook and Excel
