Your Role

Mission

As a Master Data Specialist, my primary responsibility is to manage, maintain, and cleanse the material master data, ensuring that lead times, business dimensions, and other material-related fields are accurate and up-to-date. I work closely with product managers to provide reliable and consistent data to support the organization's operations and decision-making processes. My dedication to data accuracy and collaboration helps to drive the success of our products and the organization as a whole.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain material master data.
  • Ensure accuracy and up-to-date information for logistics, business dimensions, cost, pricing, and other material-related fields.
  • Coordinate the APP rounds with the product managers.
  • Perform data cleansing to improve data quality.
  • Work closely with product managers to provide reliable and consistent data.
  • Work closely with logistic manager to provide reliable and consistent data on lead time, safety stock and all relevant logistic fields.
  • Work closely with the finance team to provide reliable and consistent data on business dimensions, valuation class, standard cost, and purchase price.
  • A key member of acquisition integration projects related to material master data.
  • Support the organization's operations and decision-making processes.
  • Drive the success of products and the organization through data accuracy and collaboration.
  • Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and patterns.
  • Develop and implement data management policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and usage.
  • Train and educate stakeholders on data management best practices.
  • Continuously improve data management processes and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy regulations.
  • Communicate data insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Participate in data-related projects and initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and trends in data management


To succeed, you will need

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Strong working knowledge of logistics and finance with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Continuous learning and improvement mindset.
  • Able to work independently with little instruction and can adapt to change
  • Able to work well with others in a team environment
  • Detailed oriented with a sense of urgency
  • Open and willing to learn, Collaborate and help others where needed

Experience

3 years of directly relevant experience.

Education

College graduate or equivalent experience (5-6 years)

Skills

Must be an independent self-starter with a positive attitude. Must also be customer-service oriented, have excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), analytical, and decision-making skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook. SAP knowledge would be an asset. SQL experience preferred.

  • $70,000 - $80,000 / year base salary. Salary based on knowledge, skills, and experience and has been geographically adjusted.
