This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. FTT will require proof of status prior to employment.

FTT has an immediate need for help desk support technician seeking a position in a fast paced environment. Ability to work independently, ability to multi-task and IT knowledge will be keys to success in this growing, stable organization.

Job Description

  • You will be providing Level 1/2 Help Desk support for all applications and systems.
  • Logs all incidents reported via telephone, email or voice mail.
  • Attempts to troubleshoot and resolve all incidents reported to the Help Desk.
  • Distributes and dispatches incidents to the appropriate support groups as needed.
  • Ensures timely escalation of customer issues by gathering detailed information and assigning an appropriate priority level and resolution target.
    Conducts first level support using documented procedures and available system tools.
  • Coordinates and tracks all system level production down resolution as necessary per documented procedures.
  • Administers user idis and passwords along with security rights for all FTT computer systems.
  • Ability to communicate technology into business terms with customers at all levels.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Create base images and install Windows 10 and Windows 11 Operating Systems on client workstations and laptops.
  • Maintain operating system patches and anti-virus definitions.

Required Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 in a corporate domain environment.
  • The ability to debug/troubleshoot and resolve both hardware and software issues.
  • Work independently.
  • Document issues and resolutions within the companies Helpdesk software ticket system.
  • Basic understanding of computer networking and connectivity.
  • Understanding of MS Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP Servers.
  • Research new technologies that may apply to the FTT environment.
  • The ability to perform basic website management and/or scripting and programming is a plus.
