Key Responsibilities:

This Systems Engineer's responsibilities will extend beyond individual testing tasks. Collaborating closely with software developers and systems engineers, you ensure a cohesive approach to troubleshooting and refining test cases, ensuring seamless system performance. As a technology adept, you will also keep pace with the latest in military communications technology, employing advanced tools and methodologies to boost testing efficiency and outcomes. Through your efforts, you play a crucial role in maintaining and advancing the defense capabilities that are essential for national security.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in software testing, with a strong emphasis on regression testing.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and software testing methodologies.
  • Ability to design and execute comprehensive test plans.
  • Proven track record of conducting and managing software regression tests.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce clear test reports.
  • Basic programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Previous experience supporting a defense agency in acquisitions, with an understanding of the operational and technical requirements specific to defense communications.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a defense agency environment, particularly involving satellite communications.
  • Understanding of military communication systems and operational protocols.
  • Prior work in a defense or aerospace environment, particularly involving SATCOM or other military communication systems.
  • Familiarity with SATCOM systems and their operational environments.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
