This is a remote position that requires frequent local travel within the DC/MD/VA

THE HIGH LEVEL

Iron Bow is seeking an experienced Audio Visual Technical Assurance Manager to oversee the planning, implementation, and execution of audiovisual projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of audiovisual technologies, project management methodologies, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and clients effectively.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, in collaboration with subcontractor stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in audiovisual technologies including but not limited to sound systems, video conferencing equipment, digital signage, and control systems. Provide technical guidance and support to project team members as needed.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate with subcontractor resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements within established budgets and timelines.
  • Vendor Management: Identify and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.
  • Risk Management: Anticipate potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to project timelines and budgets.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure that audiovisual installations meet industry standards and client expectations.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
  • Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, providing direction, coaching, and support to project team members.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • You possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in audiovisual project management, including demonstrated success in managing large-scale projects.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of audiovisual technologies, industry standards, and best practices.
  • You can demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • You excel in your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • You are proficient in project management software tools such as Microsoft Project
  • You have the ability to travel to project sites as needed.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position has a strong preference for candidates based in the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and will require 25% travel.
