The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

Pay Range: $70,100.00 - $105,200.00

The Military Process Analyst is responsible for researching, developing, and maintaining a comprehensive project plan focused on transforming the business processing of military education benefits administered by Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense. The project designs will be tailored to WGU's education model and aim to immensely improve the student experience while accommodating continued student population growth.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

* Collaborate closely with Military and Veterans Benefits leaders to ensure WGU's adherence to all federal and state military regulations.

* Liaise with UT-SAA and other state-represented SAAs where WGU operates to maintain compliance.

* Support the team in training, troubleshooting, and managing Salesforce Military Reports and Dashboards to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

* Develop a robust understanding and application of current and historical system interfaces, data access, and processes to provide the most favorable experience for students and employees.

* Diagnose and troubleshoot system interface and data integration issues for current processes and programs.

* Engage in planning workshops with business process and EdTech (Information Technology) owners for business requirements gathering and to design roadmaps for business process optimization and transformation

* Represent system architecture with WGU leadership, employees, and external stakeholders on behalf of department users.

* Plan and present proposals for system upgrades and new system architectures that support and deliver desired outcomes.

* Function as a subject matter expert in database management, system architecture, Excel, higher education systems, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

* Must be technologically competent with data analysis, database navigation, data interpretation, and MS Office suite programs.

* Develop, train, and mentor department leaders and employees regarding the interpretation of data trends.

* Ensures smooth deployment of process improvements and EdTech (Information Technology) solutions

* Develop quality assurance procedures to ensure Federal and State compliance is met including maintaining compliance and reporting for VA 85/15, WEAMS, DVA Yearly Renewal Application updates, submitting Addendum Requests to UT-SAA for adding new programs, and monitoring program changes to ensure compliance with military regulations.

* Monitor third-party military portals-GoArmyEd, AIPortal, WAWF, and VA-Once to ensure accurate reporting of information

* Perform quality control audits for data integrity, and system process administration, and provide solutions to enhance user navigation of programs and processes.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple and diverse team members such as technology, project management, and other internal and external stakeholders.

* Oversee the system interface between key department programs and software.

* Update and document technical procedures and processes.

* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

* Excellent leadership and project management skills.

* Works well in a team environment.

* Solid understanding of when to apply configuration and when to apply custom code.

* Up to date knowledge of latest releases in customer relationship management (CRM) systems, such as Salesforce, Excel, and/or other database management programs and processes.

* A deep knowledge and understanding of system administration and architecture.

* Ability to vet, select, and implement new CRM systems or other data-related technology solutions.

* A knowledge and understanding of workflow automation platforms.

* Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

* Able to explain complex data analysis to a non-technical audience.

* Solid technical and problem-solving skills.

* Self-starter with a strong ability to use initiative and work autonomously under tight deadlines.

* Knowledge and experience working with VA and TA benefit programs

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Business/Business Technology, or a related field. or related discipline (equivalent experience will be considered)

* 2+ years of experience servicing military benefits to military or veteran customers in a higher education regulatory environment

* 1+ years of experience in Financial Aid

* Proficiency in project management software tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's degree in Operations Research, Optimization Research, Business Administration, Business Technology.

* Data Analytics Certification or applicable certification.

* Customer Relations Management (CRM) Certification. or Advanced Administrator Certification.

* ITIL certifications (v3 or later).

* A+, Network+, or Security+ certification.

* Experience constructing and running advanced SQL queries.

* Experience developing and analyzing Power BI reports.

* Experience with Banner, SalesForce, Tableau, SharePoint, Excel, Military portals AI, GoArmyEd, WAWF, VA-Once

Physical Requirements:

* Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Minimal travel requirements.

* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

* The successful candidate must be capable of working at home with a reliable, high-speed internet connection. Occasionally will work in enclosed spaces, such as small closets or under office furniture to troubleshoot system issues.
