Details

The PRN/temporary clinical pharmacist is responsible for all aspects of medication preparation and dispensing at UIHC Medical Center Downtown. The position will be available on an as needed basis and may include weekdays, weekends, and evenings. The clinical pharmacist oversees preparation and dispensing of sterile and non-sterile products. In addition, the clinical pharmacist completes order verification and provides therapeutic drug monitoring. The position provides an opportunity to precept pharmacy students on rotations.

Requirements:

  • PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) degree or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
  • Current licensure by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners is required. Includes those eligible for obtaining this licensure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
