MILabs a subsidiary of Rigaku Americas Corporation, is a global leader in advanced imaging equipment for biomedical research. Based near Utrecht, the Netherlands, we deliver high-quality solutions to renowned academic institutions, hospitals, CROs, and pharmaceutical companies. Our equipment plays a crucial role in developing new diagnostic tools and treatments for infections, cancer, heart problems, and neurodegenerative diseases. In our North American team, we have an exciting opening for a Regional Sales and Business Development Manager. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced person to join our team in preclinical imaging sales. In this role, you will be responsible for selling complex preclinical products and services into an assigned territory and accountable for achieving sales targets, increasing the reach of the company's products in the designated territory, increase the company's visibility in the market, collect competitive information on other market vendors, provide a forecast of future sales and provide business leadership as a strategic client advisor. This role will be part of a world-class team that will shape the direction of the MILabs preclinical market share in the USA.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow sales and market share within the assigned region and the develop the strategies to accomplish this growth.
  • Proactively develop a strong understanding of the preclinical industry and customer's business priorities to drive new business opportunities, and net new business.
  • Identify potential customers and build strong relationships with key decision-makers at research.
  • institutions, universities, CROs, pharmaceutical companies, and other relevant organizations.
  • Develop and execute account plans to ensure MILabs revenue targets are met within the assigned territory.
  • Provide in-depth product knowledge and technical expertise to potential customers, showcasing the benefits and features of our preclinical imaging solutions.
  • Conduct presentations, both in person and virtually, to effectively communicate the value of our products.
  • Become a trusted customer advisor by tending to the customer needs during the entire sales process. Understand customer needs and tailor solutions to meet their specific requirements.
  • Generate and provide customers with tailored high-level budgetary and final equipment proposals.
  • Deliver sales excellence by expanding the territory pipeline, maintaining CRM hygiene and providing accurate sales forecasts.
  • Gather information on technical developments, trends and competition (both on technology and pricing) in the market and provide quarterly reports on these matters.
  • Contribute to the development, improvement, maintenance and distribution of marketing and sales materials.
  • Represent MILabs at relevant scientific exhibits, contribute to the organization of seminars and user meetings for customers groups.
  • Recommend global marketing activities and institute Territory marketing activities.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support growth of business.
Qualifications

Education and Expertise:

  • Bachelor's degree in medical Imaging, Physical Sciences or Engineering.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of commercial experience.
  • Experience in the preclinical imaging market is a plus.
  • Track record of delivering on commitments, timelines, budgets and quality metrics.
  • Willingness to perform cross-functional duties outside of core job description to accomplish Milabs.
