Postdoctoral Scholar Opportunities - Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics

The Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics at the University of California, Irvine, invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Biostatistics/Statistics/Bioinformatics/Computer Science

Requirements:

This position involves developing and applying statistical and machine learning methods for high-dimensional data analysis, causal inference, and data integration.

  • We seek applicants with PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Candidates must have solid training and a background in Statistics/Machine Learning.
  • Must have previous experience in large data analysis in Unix.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in programming in R, Python, Matlab or C++ .
  • Advanced ability to conduct collaborative research with the research team and communication skills with ability to provide analysis of results to PI and other members of research team.

The work includes methodological research and collaborations with researchers in biomedical discipline(s).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Postdoctoral level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and previous work experience. Initial appointments are for a minimum of two years; renewal is dependent on availability of funding and work performance,
