The Acquisition and Technology Analysis Group (ATAG) within SPA specializes in the application of multi-disciplinary analytic skills to support various clients within the Department of Defense (DoD), including the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)), DARPA, the Joint Staff, and USINDOPACOM. SPA provides critical decision support to enabling and executing a strategy of technological superiority and enabling the delivery and sustainment of secure, resilient, and preeminent capabilities to the warfighter quickly and cost effectively. Our team of experienced military, technical, and operations research analysts is skilled in evaluating problems, identifying the driving factors, devising innovative approaches, collecting applicable data, developing necessary software tools, and performing thorough and timely assessments to inform technology and acquisition governance decisions to ensure U.S. forces retain military superiority in the future.

We have an immediate need for a Technical Analyst to support the Department of the Air Force's Rapid Capabilities Office as a Tactical Planner for Ground/Maritime Domain Awareness (TP-A/G/MDA) focused on the Common Mission Control Center Program. This role is located onsite in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities

The Office of the Secretary of Defense's, Department of the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (DAF RCO) and United States Navy's Advance Sensor Technology Program Office (ASTPO) are fielding the Tactical Planner for Ground/Maritime Domain Awareness (TP-A/G/MDA) into DAF RCO's Common Mission Control Center (CMCC) and USN's Government Compute Facility (GCF) to develop, demonstrate, and transition integrated tactical Air-Ground planning in order to enhance the lethality of combat air operations.

The TP-A/G/MDA SETA's primary responsibilities are to guide and support TP-A/G/MDA program development and its expansion into additional mission sets. Responsibilities will include working with the OSD/SCO TP-A/G/MDA Lead and associated subject matter experts to develop, implement, and improve TP-A/G/MDA capabilities and to support TP-A/G/MDA integration with the US Air Force (USAF) and US Navy (USN). This position will also lead TP-A/G/MDA-focused exercises and engagements with multiple Services to foster program integration and operationalization.

Specific Tasks include:

    Lead and coordinate software tool development, system procurement, and supporting demonstration activities of OSD TP-A/G/MDA program in support of multiple Service requirements.
  • Oversee collaborative development of requirements and programmatic documents (MOUs, SOWs, Project Outlines, etc.) with Service stakeholders such as USAF and USN partners.
  • Develop schedule and training plans and products for TP-A/G/MDA integration into Service Weapon School Exercises.
  • Support program Exercise & Integration Lead with coordination of TP-A/G/MDA integration with EUCOM, INDOPACOM, ACC, USAFWS, MAWTS, NAWDC, and other stakeholder exercises.
  • Assist in program test plan development.
  • Assist ground integration leads with requirements and supporting kill chain analyses.
  • Special projects as desired.
Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8 - 12 years related experience in DoD Operations to include significant experience and familiarity with DoD joint mission planning processes (tactical and operational level)
  • Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners
  • Possess a high degree of originality, creativity, initiative requiring minimal supervision
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams to meet mission objectives
  • Capability to track and coordinate multiple simultaneous efforts
  • Willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS (up to 25% travel expected)
  • Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI (Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information)
  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph
