$120,000 - $130,000

We are now hiring a talented, people-passionate culinary professional to join our Delta Sky Club leadership team. As Executive Chef, you will lead the culinary charge of the premier Delta One Lounge as well as two beautifully appointed Delta Sky Club lounges (LAX). These lounges offer exceptionally unparalleled service; the Delta One concept boasts a uniquely unrivaled a la carte menu for the most discerning travelers.

Our Executive Chef leads the LAX Delta Sky Club culinary team and is responsible for delivering exceptional food & beverage offerings, each and every day. They will ensure kitchen operations are in alignment with Delta standards, while leading and mentoring a dynamic team committed to delivering quality culinary offerings, at the very highest standards. Key Executive Chef Responsibilities:

  • Plans regular and modified menus according to established guidelines, in collaboration with the Delta & Eurest culinary leadership team
  • Follows standardized recipes, portioning and presentation standards. Completes and utilizes daily production worksheets and waste log sheets. Tastes completed meals to ensure quality
  • Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation based on Company and regulatory standards
  • Establishes and maintains cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas. Ensures that kitchen staff follows and completes schedules as assigned
  • Maintains inventory of all supplies to stay within established guidelines while assuring that necessary product is available when needed
  • Makes all decisions regarding utilization of leftover food products staying within Company guidelines for such products
  • Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures as evidenced through local health department and third-party audits

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training
  • Fine dining, Executive Chef leadership experience is a must
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable
  • Demonstrated success leading an engaged, focused culinary team
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Business systems savvy and reporting acumen (to include MS Office)
  • ServSafe certified - highly desirable
