Open Source Business Analyst

Position Description: ThinkTek is seeking an Analyst with an active Top Secret security clearance to conduct open-source research in support of Facility Clearance mission. This analyst position supports risk-based industrial security oversight mission by providing business, risk, and security analysis support. Research sources vary, but are primarily limited to commercial and government databases, controlled unclassified information (CUI), and publicly available information (PAI).


Responsibilities


  • Produce business assessment and source packages related to FCL eligibility, foreign ownership, control or influence, or other business vulnerabilities.
  • Review and analyze corporate documents submitted by companies entering or participating in the NISP.
  • Perform other open-source research to identify discrepancies, omissions, verify FOCI and identify risk indicators.
  • Perform analysis of risk, intelligence, commercial due diligence, finance, or mergers and acquisition using publicly available information (PAI).
  • Apply analytical standards to business intelligence data.
  • Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and recommended solutions.
  • Prepare weekly analysis report summarizing contractors' actions and impact on FCLs in the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).


Required


  • Bachelor's degree in related field of study.
  • Experience in writing analytic reports based on review and application of critical thinking skills towards complex hierarchal structures and relationships
  • Basic understanding of international dynamics in relation to U.S. security concerns
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience using commercial and proprietary business, legal, and intelligence databases and resources (e.g. Marigold, Panjiva, Bloomberg, Factiva, LexisNexis, Factset, Capital IQ, Thomson Reuters, Dunn & Bradstreet, Dow Jones, etc.)
  • Ability to understand and apply the principles of research to analyze, evaluate, and interpret raw data collected from multiple sources.
  • Current Top-Secret (TS) security clearance verifiable through DISS-JVS, and prior to start date.
