What would the Project Manager do?

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing operations and ensuring the execution of the contract to government standards and to CW Resources' expectations. Manages and oversees workforce.

What would my Role and Responsibilities be?

  • Oversees crew leaders and a workforce composed of individuals with disabilities
  • Responsible for maintenance of employee attendance records, and computation of timecards as needed
  • Participates in daily communication with customer/contractor and on-site crew leaders to ascertain problems/concerns, reach decisions regarding appropriate solutions, and to maintain a high level of satisfaction in terms of quality service, and effective communication at the facility
  • Monitors the use of supplies and equipment, and orders additional supplies as needed
  • Trains employees in orientation on rules and regulations of the facility/building/operation/site, proper work techniques, and schedules, usage and conservation of supplies, operation of equipment, and safety practices
  • Cultivates standards of performance for employees
  • Ensures all daily tasks are completed as scheduled, according to specified quality standards and within budget limits
  • Performs quality control for the entire site and turns in the daily report and contract submittals timely
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, whether required by customer/contractor or Company, to include, but not limited to, quality control reports, performance evaluation, and time studies/performance measurements, at a minimum
  • Comply with all Federal, State, and Local regulatory standards and procedures
  • Monitor work areas, conduct periodic safety inspections, and take immediate corrective action when work areas and/or practices are deemed to be unsafe, or deficiencies are found
  • Maintain passing scores on all evaluations and inspections conducted by facility/building/site and company personnel
  • Conduct accident/incident/near miss investigations promptly and thoroughly and initiate procedures to prevent reoccurrence
  • Accountable for ensuring safety rules, regulations, and acceptable work practices, are followed by all employees
  • Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition and that all safeguards are in place
  • Monitor submittals and track deliveries of material
  • Collect and submit daily reports and project documentation
  • Attendance and a physical presence at work is an essential function of this position, as this job cannot be performed remotely
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

How will my Performance be measured?

  • Manage the assigned contract in a smooth, efficient manner by keeping costs under control, handling personnel effectively, and maintaining good relationships with site personnel
  • Complete paperwork accurately and promptly
  • Perform to the standards of the statement of work without deductions for deficiencies
  • Train and instruct workers assigned in the department
  • Analyze and suggest more effective and efficient procedures and methods of operation
  • Serve as a role model to employees and clients
  • Implement procedures to minimize employee accidents, waste of supplies, and damage to equipment
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, work under pressure, demonstrate flexibility and work independently
  • Effectively assist in planning and organizing the workforce to maintain budget constraints
  • Perform/schedule routine maintenance on all equipment used and keep all equipment clean and in fully functional condition
  • Adherence to the company's policies and procedures

How will my Performance be measured?

What Preferred Knowledge do I need?

  • First Aid Certification
  • Knowledge of how to operate in a managerial role
  • Knowledge of how to effectively schedule workers
  • Knowledge of OSHA Regulations
  • Familiarity with Outlook, Sharepoint, Word, and Excel

What are the Physical Demands?

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, gran, and lift up to fifty (50) lbs. Must be able to stand and walk the entire shift.

What are the Environmental Demands?

The work environment on all custodial projects places employees in hazardous conditions daily. Understanding chemical, physical, and health hazards are required to prevent unnecessary impacts on each employee's and building occupant's health and well-being, including your own. Being aware of hazardous conditions such as broken handrails, stairs, floor tiles, and lifted carpet, not an all-inclusive list, is a requirement for all Supervisory staff. The ability to effectively train staff on these hazards is required by all Supervisory staff. Employees may be exposed to the outdoors. Extreme weather conditions may create slip and fall hazards and predictable and unpredictable exposures to extreme heat and cold.
