Vice President of Quality
Position Overview

At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Vice President of Quality to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Quality to lead Aurora's focus on delivering products and services that meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The VP of Quality Assurance is responsible for overseeing and leading the quality assurance and quality control functions within the organization. In this capacity, they will develop and implement strategies to drive continuous improvement in quality processes and systems, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction and company performance.

-Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance program that ensures all products and services meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
-Establish and maintain quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve the effectiveness of quality assurance processes, ensuring our products and the products we receive from our suppliers meet these standards.
-Provide leadership and guidance to the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, and customer service, to identify and address quality issues and drive corrective and preventive actions.
-Lead quality audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
-Drive the implementation of quality management systems (QMS), ensuring compliance with standards such as AS9100D and IA9100.
-Develop and manage the quality assurance budget, ensuring efficient use of resources to achieve quality objectives.
-Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in quality assurance and incorporate them into the organization's quality strategy.
-Serve as a key contributor to long term strategic planning as part of the senior leadership team.
-Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and cultivate an inclusive work environment.

Minimum Requirements

-Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, quality management, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
-A minimum of 15 years of experience in quality assurance, with 5 years in a senior leadership role.
-Proven track record of implementing quality management systems and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
-Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, methodologies, tools and quality management standards.
-Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
-Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Requirements

-Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt) preferred.
-Familiarity with Aerospace requirements

Physical Requirements

-Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment

Salary Range (Annualized USD)
  • Minimum Range: $151,000.00 to $269,000.00
  • Maximum Range: $174,000.00 to $310,000.00
