Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Data Architect will lead the design and implementation of scalable data warehouse solutions. This role involves integrating data from platforms like Salesforce and NetSuite into Azure Synapse, optimizing performance and ensuring data integrity. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL skills, a solid understanding of data modeling, and the ability to mentor and lead cross-functional teams while staying updated on the latest Azure Synapse advancements. Collaboration with different internal and external development teams as well as business users will be integral, involving understanding data requirements, designing efficient data models, and implementing solutions to facilitate effective data analysis and reporting.

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or similar
  • 10 years minimum experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Data Factory, and related services including Synapse Dedicated Pool, Azure DevOps CI/CD Git Pipeline Deployment, Key Vault, Functions, and ADF Linked Services; Or 14 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proficiency in T-SQL, Azure PowerShell, and scripting languages for data manipulation and automation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Knowledge of Power BI architecture, including Datasets, Hybrid Models, and Cache
  • Ability to design and implement complex data models, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration strategies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications in Azure Data Engineering or related Azure certifications
  • Experience with integrating data from Salesforce, NetSuite, and other CRM/ERP systems
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and principles
  • Prior experience in designing/optimizing data pipelines for performance, scalability, and agility
  • Understanding of Database Administration and tuning
  • Knowledge of Databricks, Spark, and Python in regards to data engineering
